Ebad Bin Siddik Appointed as General Secretary of Srijonghor

Ebad Bin Siddik, the editor and publisher of Qaumi Post, has been appointed as the General Secretary of ‘Srijonghor’—a creative intellectual platform for the youth of Greater Sylhet.
The biennial general meeting of Srijonghor was held on Saturday (February 8) in the literary session hall of the Central Muslim Sahitya Sangsad (KEMUSAS) in Sylhet.
During the meeting, the organization, which focuses on Islamic heritage and civilization, finalized its five core principles and restructured its activities with a fresh approach. A new executive committee for the 2025-26 session was also formed.
The permanent committee members announced the new committee based on the opinions and activities of the attending members.
Hammad Ragib, the previous session’s general secretary, has been appointed as the president, while Ebad Bin Siddik, the previous joint secretary, has been elected as the new general secretary.

Joint Secretary: Hammad Tahmim, Organizing Secretary: Jamil Ahmad, Finance Secretary: Muhibur Rahman Rafe, Literary Secretary: Mamun Abdullah, Cultural Affairs Secretary: Sheikh Anam, Publicity Secretary: Mustakim Al Muntaz, Social Welfare Secretary: Shafi Uddin (Saklain Shafi), Office Secretary: Labib Shahel, Executive Members: Nuh Bin Hossain, Hifzur Rahman Hammad, Abdus Samad, Sajidur Rahman, Jahangir Raihan.
The general meeting was attended by Advisory Council members Maulana Shah Momshad Ahmad and Mufti Ziaur Rahman, along with Patron Council members Maulana Mahmudul Hasan and Rafiqul Islam Jakaria. Also present were Permanent Committee members Maulana Ahmad Kabir Khalil and Maulana Enam Bin Siddik, as well as Associate Members Zakwanul Haque Chowdhury, Abu Sufian Nasim, and Labib Humaydi, among others.
Since 2014, Srijonghor has been actively working to raise awareness and promote discussions on Islamic history, literature, and culture among the intellectual youth of Sylhet. The organization has consistently taken specialized initiatives to expand these efforts.
